The Navajo Division of Health has begun structuring a public health emergency prepardness plan for the worldwide spread of H1N1 Type A Influenza Virus. Particurlarly paying attention and monitoring outbreaks in Mexico and the surrounding states (California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas).

NDOH is preparing to initiate a Health Command Center in the Navajo Nation Administration Building #2 on the ground floor. An organizational chart is being structured and staffed with personel based on the needs of the command center.

Our objective and mission is very simple. Decrease the transmission of the H1N1 virus.
